With the original bookworm, filling the squares required to make words required more thought than just dropping a bunch of letters in a random manner onto a flat surface. This is where the difference lies between a casual game and a puzzle game. However, with Bookworm, the objective is to fill all of the square spaces with words so that when the word is created, the square space is filled with a different word. The concept is similar to that of other word-puzzle games such as Scrabble or crossword puzzles, where the objective is to eliminate all of the words while trying to get your word to appear at the correct position within the Scrabble board. It is a casual game that is not overly challenging, and therefore any age group, from elementary students to college students, can enjoy it. When all words have been completed, the player's picture is revealed and a hint is displayed on the screen telling them how many more words they need to complete the puzzle in order to win it. As words are made, they are removed form the grid and only the empty spaces remain. In a simple grid of yellow letters, players link words to form sentences. -version: Shows the product name, version, build number and build date with a popup instead of starting the game.Bookworm is a fun word-form puzzle game by PopCap Games for PC and Apple iPhone.-changedir: Changes game installation directory, for the current boot.-screensaver: Makes the game act like it's a screensaver, any movement or key presses will immediately force close the game.-crash: Crashes the game immediately with an Access Violation error.-demofile: Specifies filename for recorded demos.-record: Records a demo named Popcap.dmo and saves after shutdown of the game.-playnum: Plays demos with Popcap.dmo and Popcap#.dmo from -recnum if that's taken on every boot.-recnum: Records demos with Popcap.dmo and Popcap#.dmo if that's taken on every boot. demofile can also be used to choose the name and location of the file.
